Picking College Football games is a tough business and no one know’s that better than the Trophy Kids. It’s already been a roller-coaster season but if this was easy everyone would do it. This week we are back at it and picking some big games for Saturday.

Nate’s Picks: Look last week and for that matter, this year has not been my best year for picking college football games. Hand up on that one. I have tried to be too cutesy with it but not this week. This week I am bringing my lunch pale to work and turning that 7-15 record for picks on the pod (went 5-0 in last minutes pick through the @trophykidspod twitter account, make sure to follow) around.

LOCK OF THE WEEK

Alabama vs Tennesse (Over/Under 57): This line is either going to be a suckers bet or a line vegas will regret. This game I could easily see Alabama putting up something like 51 points. They have been crushing teams and will carry most of the points towards this over. So it comes down to whether or not you think Tennesse can put up some points. I think they can! Tennesse was garbage to start the season but has since picked it up on offense. I expect them to score some points especially garbage time points.

Pick: OVER 57

LSU VS Mississippi State (+6.5): This game grabbed my attention real quick. LSU has not been taken as seriously this year as they should have been until last week when they showed they are an absolute brick house of a team. They beat a very good Georgia team and made them look lost and honestly like they didn’t even belong in the stadium.

Now some will point to this game as a trap game and those people would be wrong. LSU got spanked last year by MS State (37-7) and Coach O has not forgotten. He is treating this game as a revenge game and dear god he might just break MS State will on Saturday. Plus they have got sweet uniforms making sure the players do not relax in this one.

Pick: LSU -6.5

Cincinnati VS Temple (-3): I hate to pick this game. I went to Xavier and cannot stand anything about UC. That’s what makes this pick so hard but at the end of the day, this is business and emotions must be checked at the door. When you see an opportunity you must grab it. I normally would favor Temple in a game like this but not this year. UC is a well-balanced offense of football team that plays hard nose defense and I like that. I think they continue to roll in this one.

Pick: UC +3

GAME OF THE WEEK

Michigan VS. MSU (+7): Big Brother is about to square up against little brother, so buckle up because this is going to be a game. Any time these two teams get together except a war. This game has all the makings of a great one. You have both teams coming off monster wins. Both teams are hungry to stomp on each other. Michigan has a real shot at the playoff and MSU will absolutely want to crush that dream. This game is going to be chilly, windy and potentially rainy so that makes it all that much better. MSU has won 8 out of the last 10 meetings and is 10-0 ATS. I think Michigan ultimate wins this game but its close.

Pick: MSU -7
