The Degenerate Report: College Football Week 11

The Degenerate Report is back after another strong week. I went 5-1 in all picks given out. That includes picks in the Degenerate Report and on Trophy Kids twitter account. The season might not have started off great this year, but I’m mounting a comeback with gut picks and have climbed to a 25-17 record on the year. In college alone I’m 23-13. So why mess with a good thing? I’m going straight gut picks again.

I am locked in and ready to have some fun because let’s face it, we all have a little degenerate in us, and every once in a while we let it out.

Here are my picks for the weekend.

(make sure to take a listen to Trophy Kids Pod every Wednesday and Friday)

LSU vs Alabama -6 O / U 63:
We are getting a National Championship quality game in November.

For weeks now I have been saying LSU is the best team on the country and I think something is off about Bama. Well, that theory finally gets put to the test.

This game could be Joe Burrows Heisman’s moment or his Heisman demise. The same holds true for Tu who could jump right back in the race. It’s going to be awesome!

If you have been listing to Trophy Kids you obviously know I love LSU. So, of course, I’m taking them in this game but I’m more interested in the over/under. This game has gone under 7 of the last 9. I think the same happens this week. Yes, both of these offenses are blazing teams but they both bring very good defenses to this game. I think it’s a knockdown drag-out type of game.

Pick: Under 63

🚨🚨Lock of the week🚨🚨👇

Penn State vs Minnesota +6.5 O / U 48: Saturday kicks off with two top 25 teams battling it and sets up for an awesome pick. I have been talking for weeks about how good Penn State is and how I think they have a strong chance to beat Ohio State in two weeks. The question though is can they cover 6.5 at Minnesota?

Minnesota has exploded onto the national media scene this year. They are 8-0 and ranked 17th but I think that they are overrated coming into this game. They have played against absolutely nobody’s. This is the first time they will see a really defense (penn state is averaging 9.6 points allowed a game). I think the Minnesota offense is about to get smoke this weekend. Minnesota also turned down the ability to flex to the night game and that’s a sign of weakness to me.

My gut tells me Penn State wipes the floor with them.

Pick: Penn State -6.5

Kansas State vs Texas -7 O / U 56.5: This line makes no sense to me. Kansas State is a solid football team. The offense has shown it can keep up with the best of them and the defense has shown itself capable of making stops.

On the other side, you have a Texas team that is definitely not back and can’t stop a nose bleed. They stink on defense (allowing 31.5 points a game) and defense is kind of important in a 7 point spread. Texas might win this game but I don’t think they cover 7.

Pick: Kansas St. +7

Purdue vs Northwestern -2 O / U 39.5: Northwestern is currently on the warpath to set College Football offenses back decades. They are atrocious on offense. I honestly have no idea how you only average 9.8 points a game in today’s game but Northwestern has found away.

Purdue somehow is the underdog in this game and I honestly can’t figure out how. They are coming off a win against Nebraska and while they didn’t win against Iowa they put up a fight. Unlike Northwestern who probably shouldn’t have left the locker room last week against Indiana and got rolled against Iowa.

Pick: Purdue +2

Clemson vs NC St +32.5 O / U 54: Clemson has finally gotten out of natural and back to kicking the snot out of teams. That’s dangerous for opposing teams because not only is Clemaon playing excellent football again but they have to be pissed off about all the negative talked they are receiving because the rest of the ACC can’t carry their own weight. God help NC St. who is incredibly bad. This team doesn’t stand a chance and about to get that smackdown WWE style.

Pick: Clemson -32.5

Baylor vs TCU +2.5 O / U 48: Baylor is coming into this game hot. Currently undefeated and building towards national prominence in the good kind of way again. TCU, on the other hand, is barely holding on, sitting at 4-4 on the year. For me, in this game, TCU is just a little to beat up to keep up.

Pick: Baylor -2.5

It should be a great week of football and may the picks be in your favor.
