THE DEGENERATE REPORT: COLLEGE AND NFL FOOTBALL WEEK 8

Picking football games can be challenging, and that’s why you turn to the Degenerate Report. Last week was a great week for those Degenerates out there. I went 5-1 and came back strong for the first losing week of the year last week. This week I am digging deep into the board and looking to come out with another big week. I am 28-14 on the year and have yet to have a losing year. I don’t plan on this year being my first.
If you are not already, make sure your following Trophy Kids on both Instagram and Twitter. I have been giving out extra picks there, and overall I am 76-47-2 on all football picks this year.
We have some great games to watch and even better games to bet. I am locked in and ready to have some fun because, let’s face it, we all have a little degenerate in us, and every once in a while, we let it out.
Here are my picks for the weekend.

Memphis vs. Cincinnati -7 Over/Under 55.5: I love this game. If you have been listing to Trophy Kids, you know I have a future out on UC and love this team. This is hard to say as a Xavier grad, but I can’t allow my personal feelings to get in the way of making good picks for the Trophy Kids out there.
UC just smoked SMU, and I think the same result is about to happen here. Memphis and SMU are remarkably similar teams. Both have high flying offenses and atrocious defenses. They are both putting up virtually the same numbers, and UC will cut through SMU like butter. UC is playing solid football all around. The offense is solid, and the defense is excellent.
Pick: UC -7
Boston College vs. Clemson -31 Over/Under 61: Clemson has been a covering disaster this year. They kick the shit out of teams early and then pull the starters. They are 2-4 ATS, and a big part of that is Vegas is setting big spreads, and Clemson has only scored over 50 points once this year.
Boston College has only had one real dud this year, but outside of that has played excellent football this year. Clemson caught a lot of flack for not destroying Syracuse last week, but Dabo isn’t really a guy to change course due to a little media pressure. I expect BC to play them competitive but won’t hold on forever, and once those starters are pulled, BC should, but all wrap up the cover.
Pick: BC +31
Notre Dame vs. Georgia Tech +20.5 Over/Under 57: I started the season red hot betting on Notre Dame games with a 5-0 record. You might have called me a Notre Dame whisper. Then that beautiful gift disappeared, and I couldn’t buy a win. I have recently taken a break from Notre Dame games, but I am ready to jump right back into those waters.
Georgia Tech Defense is about as useful as a Damn lined with TNT. All it takes is one spark, and that thing is blowing. Notre generally looks to get out to a fast start, and I expect nothing less in this game. Expect sparks early.
Pick: Notre Dame 1st Half -10.5
NFL Picks
Raiders vs. Browns -2.5 Over/Under 51.5: The line and over have been affected by the announcement of OBJ being out for the rest of the season. I don’t love a pick on the spread right now. I don’t have a great read on this game from that POV. I do, however, I love the over.
These two teams can’t stop a nose bleed. They both are allowing north of 30 points a game. The Browns are shown they are more than capable of moving the ball and putting up points with OBJ, so I have no worries.
Pick: Over 51.5
Rams vs. Dolphins +4 Over/Under 46: This line feels dirty to me. I don’t understand it. Rams are playing good football right now. The offense is starting to click, Mcvay is hitting his mid-season stride play-calling, and the defense is playing outstanding. The Dolphins are a frisky team, but that was with Fitzmagic. I don’t know what I am getting with Tua. The Rams are a tough defense to make your first start against. I expect it to go rocky.
Pick: Rams -4
Buccaneers vs. Giants +11 Over/Under 46: My Bucs are red hot, right. Tommy and the boys are starting to roll on offense despite the receiving core being banged up. He is no longer trying to feel out the offense but instead fitting into it like a glove. The defense is a buzzsaw and playing incredible. This is bad news for the Giants.
In the last three games, the Giants have been competitive and even squeaked out a win. Those games were against the NFC East, though. The Bucs are a different story. It’s like going from sitting in a nice warm jacuzzi to suddenly jumping into a polar plunge.
Pick: Buc -11
It should be a great week of football, and may the picks be in your favor.
