Picking football games can be challenging, and that’s why you turn to the Degenerate Report. Last week was a rough week for those Degenerates out there though. I went 2-4. This week, I am digging deep into the board and look to come out with a big week to make up for last week. I am 30-18 on the year and have yet to have a losing year. I don’t plan on this year being my first.

If you are not already, make sure your following Trophy Kids on both Instagram and Twitter. I have been giving out extra picks there, and overall I am 83-56-4 on all football picks this year. 

We have some great games to watch and even better games to bet. I am locked in and ready to have some fun because, let’s face it, we all have a little degenerate in us, and every once in a while, we let it out.

Here are my picks for the weekend.

Houston vs. Cincinnati -13.5 Over/Under 55: I love the UC game again this week. If you have been listing to Trophy Kids, you know I have a future out on UC and love this team. This is hard to say as a Xavier grad, but I can’t allow my personal feelings to get in the way of making good picks for the Trophy Kids out there. 

UC for yet another week, smoked a team. I think the same result is about to happen here. Memphis, SMU, and Houston are remarkably similar teams. All three have high flying offenses and atrocious defenses. Houston gave up 681 yards to UFC last week. They can put up a lot of points but give up more, and UC is about to cut through Houston. UC is playing solid football all around. The offense is solid, and the defense is excellent. 

Pick: UC -13.5

BYU vs. Boise State +3 Over/Under 61: I love love love BYU, but you already know that because you are subscribed to Trophy Kids Podcast (if not get subscribed, you won’t regret it). Zach Wilson should be the Heisman front runner right now. He is Wyatt Earp at the O.K. Corral. The kid is incredible, and the BYU defense has been rock hard. 

Pick: BYU -3

Tennessee vs. Arkansas +2 Over/Under 52.5: Arkansas has been a covering machine this year. For a team that I don’t think anyone thought would be good is very, they are surprisingly competitive. This team is the definition of, it’s not the size of the dog but the size of the fight in the dog. They have a ton of fight in them, and Tennessee does not. This game will come down to who wants it more, and Arkansas will want it more. 

Picks: Arkansas +2

NFL Picks

Saints vs. Buccaneers -4.5 Over/Under 51.5: I use to dread my Bucs playing on prime time, but obviously, this season is different. Tom Brady and the offense are clicking even though it’s banged up. They are averaging 30 points a game. The Bucs Defense is an absolute buzzsaw. 

Bucs vs. Saints, though, tends to be a point, points, and points. Last time the total was 57, and I expect nothing less this time around.

Pick: Over 51.5

Panthers vs. Cheifs -14 Over/Under 52.5: Christian McCaffrey is coming back this week, making the total an exciting number. The Panthers offense has been able to find success without having the most versatile player in the game. Adding him back into the line up will energize the offense and translate to points for the Panthers. You pair that with a Chiefs offense that has been a powder keg against a vulnerable secondary with the panthers. I like the over.

Pick: Over 52.5

Ravens vs. Colts +2 Over/Under 47: The Colts are a good football team that is obvious. This is two top tier football teams going at it, so it’s about matchups. Both teams play good defense, and while the Ravens have struggled on offense, I like their matchups better than the Colts.

Pick: Ravens -2
