THE DEGENERATE REPORT: COLLEGE AND NFL WEEK 10
Picking football games can be challenging, and that’s why you turn to the Degenerate Report. Last week was a strong week for those Degenerates out there. I went 5-1, and this week, I am digging deep into the board and look for gold. I am 35-19 on the year and have yet to have a losing year. I don’t plan on this year being my first.
We have some great games to watch and even better games to bet. I am locked in and ready to have some fun because, let’s face it, we all have a little degenerate in us, and every once in a while, we let it out.
Here are my picks for the weekend.
(Make sure to check out our podcast Trophy Kids)
Indiana vs. Michigan State +7 Over/Under 52.5: Games are getting postponed or canceled left and right this weekend. It’s leaving the pickings scares but this game probably would have made a list regardless. Indiana has been fantastic this year. In the opening weekend, we said on Trophy Kids Podcast that Tom Allen had quietly built a program at IU, and you shouldn’t be surprised if they make a splash. Well, they are making a splash.
MSU, on the other hand, had a monster Four Loko hangover game last week. After coming off a massive win against Michigan, MSU got tossed around by Iowa. The turnover bug came back around, and I don’t love that.
Pick: IU -7
Arkansas vs. Florida -17.5 Over/Under 60.5: Arkansas has been a covering machine. For a team that I don’t think anyone thought would be good is year. This team is the definition of, it’s not the size of the dog but the size of the fight in the dog. They have a ton of fight in them, and I went to them last week cause I knew Tennessee was dead. Florida is very alive, but Dan Mullen won the biggest game of his life last week. The team is all jacked up, and while I think they will win this game, they won’t have the same fight.
Picks: Arkansas +17.5
Notre Dame vs. Boston College +13.5 Over/Under 50: Notre Dame showed everyone in the country last week they are no joke. This isn’t your typical overrated ND team. The problem is BC can be a reliable football team. Phil Jurkovec is a former ND guy who will have something to prove. It’s the Red Bandana game, BC is breaking out the special jerseys and add that all together, plus ND will be a little beat up from the Clemson game. I love this value.
Pick: BC +13.5
Vikings vs. Bears +3 Over/Under 44: I am so sick and tired of the Bears and Matt Nagy’s dumb brain. I am almost picking this game out of spite, but you have to love it when you look at it. Delvin Cook makes the Vikings a completely different team. Kirk doesn’t have to really do much except for not mess up the handoff. Plus, are you seriously going to say you have more faith in Matt Nagy to get his team prepared over Zimmer? please
Pick: Vikings -3
Texans vs.Browns -3 Over/Under 49.5: The Texans are an absolute disaster. They are a boat without a sail. Rumors are also now swirling about JJ Watt being traded after the season. The Browns, on the other hand, have been a good football team. Sure they have been up and down but overall good. They get Baker back for this one and maybe Nick Chubb. If Nick Chubb is good to go game time, I am hammering this. Even if he isn’t, I still like the Browns. The Texans don’t have the stones to win this.
Pick: Browns -3
Eagles vs. Giants +3.5 Over/Under 44.5: This is a gut pick right here. I looked at this line, and a feeling shot up from the depth of the gut. It yelled…..Giants. This team is feisty, and the eagles are sorta limpy. They are just limping to the finish line this season, and I just don’t see it in them.
Pick: Giants +3.5
It should be a great week of football, and may the picks be in your favor.
