Year after year the Xavier basketball program has been laying the ground work for the next team. This program has built itself in to a legitimate basketball program and while most point to the Trevon and JP era as the best as it’s going to get. I believe the best is yet to come and this years squad while young has a chance to lay another brick in the foundation towards something great. The great Matthew McConaughey once said “Sometimes you gotta go back to actually move forward. And I don’t mean go back to reminisce or chase ghosts — I mean go back to see where you came from, where you been, how you got here. See where you’re goin’. I know there are those who say you can’t go back. Yes, you can. You just have to look in the right place.”
