The Degenerate Report: NFL week 4 and College football week 5 betting

We are back for another great weekend of football. Last week we went 3-3 in pick, and while that is not the goal, it sure beats a losing record. If you are new to the Degenerate Report, welcome! Every week I post my three best bets in College and the NFL. This will be my fifth season doing this, and last year was the worst year-to-date season, with a final win rate of 58%. I know NFL and College football betting can be hard but that is why you turn to the proven product that is The Degenerate Report. So, let’s get rolling with the Degenerate Report: NFL week 4 and College football week 5 betting.

College Bets:

Texas A&M vs Miss State -3.5 O/U 45.5: Texas A&M has been taking a beating in the media and gambling markets due to what can only be described as a vomit-inducing offense failing to produce in big moments paired with a coaching staff coaching uninspired football. So what I am about to say might surprise you. Texas A&M is the spot here.

This match-up plays perfectly into their hands. Mississippi State has been lacking big explosive plays this season, meaning this game will be a bit of a snooze feast. That is good for Texas A&M, who will not have to come out of its shell and be able to take advantage of a Mississippi state defense that is very susceptible to a hard-nosed run game.

Pick: Texas A&M +3.5

Kentucky vs. Ole Miss -6.5 O/U 54.5: This match-up presents some exciting dynamics. I think the biggest for me is the return of Chris Rodriguez for Kentucky. Kentucky’s Offensive line has been a problem this year. They are definitely the weak point for this team, but Rodriguez’s return should give this team a boost. Not only is he great at picking up blitzes, but he also averages 4.1 yards after first contact. This will be huge for Kentucky because they should be able to control the game flow by beating up on Ole Miss 3-2-6 defense scheme.

On the other side, I am not sure Ole Miss has the offensive firepower to force Kentucky out of its comfort zone running the ball. Because of this, points should come at a premium.

Pick: Under 54.5

Michigan vs Iowa +10.5 O/U 42.5: This is simple, Iowa does not have a functional offense and will not be able to push Michigan at all. Last week, we saw that Michigan has some holes in its defense that will need to be taken care of before the Ohio State game. But Iowa simply does not present a risk offensively. As a result, Michigan should win easily and by at least two scores.

Pick: Michigan -10.5

NFL:

Seahawks vs. Lions -3.5 O/U 47.5: The lions are fastly becoming a fun team to watch. They are a team to embody their head coach Dan Campbell and are always looking for a good fight. They play with an edge that always them to believe that they can compete in every game and we have fun that so far up to this point. The Seahawks on the other hand are just a bad football team. They are in complete rebuild mode, which is apparent every Sunday when they take the field and look lost. I am not overthinking this game.

Pick: Lions -3.5

Commanders vs Cowboys -3 O/U 41.5: The Cowboys have a one-man wrecking crew in Micah Parsons, who is becoming dangerously close to being the most important defensive player in the league. He is an absolute game changer, and his impact will be significantly felt on Sunday. The Commanders are walking on a razor’s edge right now. I believe this game will be the tipping point in eventually clearing out of the coaching staff. Carson Wentz will most likely be under consistent pressure meaning we should get some hilarious bad throws and great starting field position for the Cowboys.

Pick: Cowboys -3

Chiefs vs. Bucs -1 O/u 45.5: This one hurts. I love my Bucs, but unfortunately, I think they are just too banged up right now to really compete with the elite teams in the league right now. The Chiefs are going off an extremely bad loss and will be out for blood on Primetime. I expect this game to be close early but ultimately go the chief’s way.

Pick: Cheifs Moneyline

It should be an excellent week of NFL and College football betting, and may the picks be in your favor.
