The Picks Are In For Week 3 CFB

With Trophy Kids making its debut soon, we figured we give you a little taste of our picking prowess. Here are our picks for College Football Week 3.

Nate’s Picks:

#15 TCU Vs. #4 Ohio State (-13): Ohio State is going to murder, that’s right Murder with a capital M, TCU. This team is rolling early. Nick Bosa and the boys are cracking skulls and taking names this year. I don’t think the TCU offense will get it going early enough to keep up with that high flying OSU offense led by Haskins Dwayne.

Pick: Give me them Buckeyes (-13)

Ole Miss Vs. #1 Alabama (-23): Yeah the Ole Miss offense has been scoring like its a game of  Madden on easy the last two weeks, but that was against Texas Tech and Southern IL. This week they have the big old boy’s rolling in from Tuscaloosa. Bama is about to ROLL DAMN TIDE, all day long on Saturday. This game could be the one that makes Saban stay with Tua Tagovailoa, who by all accounts looks to be the best quarterback Saban has coached during his tenure. So good luck with that Ole Miss.

Pick: Use your brains here people, Bama all day long (-23)

#12 LSU Vs. #7 Auburn (-10.5): Coach O has pushed all the right buttons and has his Tigers off to a lighting hot start. The D looks good, and that offense is going to run the ball down your throats all day long. Then every so often they will show off their long await answer to that pesky LSU quarterback problem, with Joe Burrow at the helm.

Pick: Go Tigers (+10.5)

I saved the best for last. My Lock of the Week

Middle Tennessee Vs. #3 Georgia (-33): This Georgia Bulldogs team should be ranked #2, but that’s neither here nor there. Jake Fromm (If somehow you are unfamiliar with my thoughts on him., check out my piece on him here) has got his offense dominating early. Last week they smoked the then ranked 17th  South Carolina Gamecocks and are poised to have another big day against Middle Tennessee. Middle Tennesse gave up 35 to Vandy and 37 to TN-Martin. So, they don’t have a prayer in the world on this one. Meaning that over at 56.5 isn’t looking to bad. Georgia also reloaded their defense and is ready to take heads this season.

Pick: Give me them Bulldogs (-33)

P.S. We only did four picks each but don’t sleep on Syracuse. They played FSU close last year and are looking good to start the season. They have put up 50+ in their previous two games and strung together 17 scoring drives in less than 3 minutes. Plus FSU stinks! Syracuse (+3.5)

Tim’s Picks:

I’ll start with my lock of the week

SMU at #19 Michigan (-35): I can’t believe I’m picking this because I hate the boy’s in blue, but they have this 100%.  Michigan has running backs for days, and once they see green, see you later. The SMU D-line also doesn’t stand much of a chance against the big uglies. So expect Michigan to run it often and let Shea Petterson pick his spots. This is going to be a big one for Michigan.

Pick: Michigan (-35)

Iowa State Vs. #5 Oklahoma (-18.5): Oklahoma is once again showing up with a high power offense that doesn’t look like it can be stopped. Kyle Murry has some growing to do but oh boy does he have moments of greatness. I expect this to be a breakout game for him.

Pick: Oklahoma (-18.5)

#12 LSU Vs. #7 Auburn (-10.5): Great minds think alike on this one. LSU looked good in its first two games. They finally seem to have a quarterback with Joe Burrow, so look out for LSU this year.  This could be a BIG year for them.

Pick: LSU (+10.5)

#17 Boise State Vs. #24 Oklahoma State (-3.5): Boise State is undervalued here. They have had good quarterback play out of Brett Rypien so far. Plus, you can never sleep on a Boise State team. They always play good defense and stay in games late. I just have a feeling Boise is about to make a big statement this weekend in Stillwater.

Pick: Boise State (-3.5)

Let’s see how this plays and make sure to check back next week.

P.s. If you came here for proper grammar and articulate writing, go read a book. This is Pick em season, and ain’t nobody got time for that. Hot Picks Only… but seriously come back next week for more.
